Sustainability, ethics and values

As participant in the Global Compact of the United Nations DJG supports the principles of sustainability and ethics. Basis for this self image is the company’s approach.

Part of the DJG's corporate philosophy is the training program for soft skills in addition to the training program for hard skills, which are focussed on the activities of our employees. Content of this program, attended by more than 90 % of our employees, includes self-leadership, leadership behaviour (emotional and social competence), ethics, values, etc. The program includes per average 5 days for each employee in a year and is led by two experienced management trainers.

We also offer the opportunity for contemplation during the day with a specially equipped meditation room for the employees. We firmly believe that we make a significant contribution and space for maintaining the health and development of our employees.

With the PharmaBarometer, the magazine for marketing and sales, we have established the resort of sustainability, ethics and values to draw one’s attention to social importance of a sustainable business with different contributions.

As initiator, organizer and main sponsor of the annual awarding of the Golden Tablet® and award of the most innovative products, the so-called "pharmaceutical Oscar", the DJG contributes its part to the PharmaBarometer honorary prize. This award encourages charitable involvement to the prevention of chronic diseases. It is awarded at the ceremony at the Deutsches Museum in Munich. About 200.000,00 euros could support the work of different organizations as the "Aktion Knochenmarkspende Bayern e.V.", the "Felix Burda Stiftung", the "Deutsche Parkinsonvereinigung e.V.", "Brustkrebs Deutschland e.V.", the "Stiftung Kindergesundheit", the "Deutsche Schlaganfall-Hilfe" and the Deutsche Herzstiftung e.V.

In our communication concepts for medical products of the pharmaceutical industry, we focus on resource-friendly techniques like email, fax, mail and telephone marketing. Furthermore we use environmental advertising material and printed products wherever possible.
